Well I can tell you a few things i've noticed in the past years. Well for one you cant just phase out old games, because weither you like it or not some of the old games are the best games out. MMO's are hot right now and they arnt going to die anytime soon, consols are the only place people are really playing games in mass effect anymore. Look at the Halo tourney that was held, that should tell you something. Advertisment is the only way that WLP will grow, most gamers dont just find people from Wichita that they play against and therefore WLP cant grow just off word of mouth, talk to gamestop? Most of the people who dont reply are to busy playing the games to reply on the forums :/? Old school gamer s play old school games new age gamers play console games. Its that simple. If you want to see what games to host tourneys on just check the majority of other BIGGER lan parties such as CPL WCG etc. Casual gamers are what you need to be looking at it seems though because the last big pro that came out of Kansas alone was in Halo.

We can because they don't draw people. Pro Gamers still play them because they wine if they even threaten to take them away. We aren't pro level we are for the weekend moderate gamers. Most of them are more accepting of new _title_s vs the pro's.

Console is great for people who can't afford a high end PC but remember our machines will always out do the Console 10 to 1. Gamestop has pretty much told me FU when it comes to advertising. If you have an in with a manager somewhere I will go talk with them. Game Exchange let us advertise for one event and has said no ever sense. Most other places in town won't let us. Sorry but word of mouth is all we have right now.

CPL, WCG, and WSVG are starting to fade in the US. the newness of the fad has worn off. look at WSVG going Bankrupt and canceled the remainder of the season. CPL is not to far behind. WCG is about the only one left.

Besides the biggest gamers in the world are still PC. Halo has it's own little following in WCG and such. Just remember we are an event for fun not for Extreme Competition. Members have stated that here by wanting to have the Cash tournaments removed and more new _title_s vs the old ones. I am at this time going to honor the Majority. if more people come tell me hey we need these old _title_s I will reconsider but as of now no.
