-Vote is toward mandatory food payment = some people get what they don't want.

-Food is optional and all plans are listed clearly on the event page AND told to everyone as they pay = no one loses anything.

Yes this would be the case from your point of view and 3 or 4 others at the molement.

For one, we are not increasing our price, we are just offering food for the normal $15 entry fee, we are just losing the $10 pre-pay that a few took advantage of. I am sure drupi could give us the exact stats on how many people actually paid the $10 for lan before they arrived vs walkins that paid at the door. And two, we are basically giving you free pizza, which there will be a good variety of for coming to our lan. Who doesn't like pizza?! Hell if you are allergic to tomatoes we'll get one w/o any tomato paste on it. If you are lactose intolerant we'll get one without cheese. We are willing to be very flexible with people's needs and we just want to improve upon what we can bring to the lan for everyone.

We are always open to suggestions to, but in the end we can't make everyone happy. I know time are hard with gay day traders causing gas prices to rise, trust me I have a growing family myself and it ain't easy. Me and the other admins make no money by doing this for you. We donate our time, money(we have had to pay from our own pocket room rental fees in the past for lan parties and equipment), computers, and love for gaming to make sure you all have fun for 4 times a year. (And I get 4 days a year where my wife is pissed off at me all sunday for being tired all day, while she takes care of our kids.)

I do this because I love gaming and I like being around people who share my passion, period.

Alecjahn I hope you come to our even, and anyone else who feels the same way as him. I promise me and the other admins will do our best to make sure you have a good time and you get your moneys worth.($15 for over 12 hrs of gaming and whatever else you do at the lan. Hell, movie tickets cost $9 and you are only there for 2hrs! w/ no food!)

To end I would like to than all of you who come to our lan. You make us able to keep doing what we do by coming to our events. If you didn't come Drupi, Sciman, and 3tek would be dead in my _base_ment from me eating McDonalds that turns me into the human stink bomb. Thank god for Mindscapes ventilation!

That did clear some things up, I guess I just didn't understand a few intricacies of the plan, mainly about the whole "prepay" stuff (forgot a bit).

For the record, I have a close friend that actually does not like pizza, though I'm not sure if he is up for that sort of hardcore all-night gaming - just throwing it out there that these people do exist! Weird, right?.

So yeah. I guess it's all cool. Thanks for informing me instead of flaming.

we try not to flame bud if you think i did, I am sorry. I do have some numbers from last event and the difference in pre-register and not is quite interesting. out of officially 83 attendee's only about 6% where from the pre-registered list. These are the people who got in for a discount.

That is a bit ridiculous. I guess everyone was thinking "if I preregister and decide to go, I'll save a couple bucks" but then ruined a good registration slot.
