Server Settings - We will be using TDM with the Mod Warfare modification included with CoD4. This allows for a even balance with weapons for folks who are not high ranked like the WLP staff (level 40 to 55).

The server will allow "Special" copies of the game.

this will be a double elimination with ALP deciding seeding in the brackets.

Prizes with be determined as I talk to sponsors. Cash buy-in may still be optioned if I can't get some good stuff. But we want this to be fun and not super competitive.


F.E.A.R. Combat FFA Iornman (WLP _style_)

2 Maps 30 mins each of our choosing Highest Score between the 2 maps Wins.

WLP Iornman _style_ is different then anyone else as we don't eliminate people everyone plays until the bitter end! Makes for a crazy fun Game!

FEAR Combat is a free Download from the net that anyone can get, it feels like CSS meets UT and the Matrix all in one!

The Return of Game of the Hour!

We are going to attempt to bring back Scheduled Gaming of certain _title_s to get everyone playing. This way people know who is where and what's being played!

Schedule will be in ALP for these but here is the list of games we are going to attempt to put up!

We will also be doing the Chug Off again! Angel is still looking for someone to beat him! Sciman's mom thinks she can do it, can you??? (NOTE: Not going to be BAWLS this time!)

first off this is not a competitive LAN party bud you know that. This is supposed to be a fun tournament. if you want PAM S&D and Extreme competitive play may i suggest going to ELKC or NetWAR.

Second; TDM and Mod Warfare allow everyone to be on an equal playing field with weapons and play something that doesn't take a great deal of skill or has a learning curve, but still requires teamwork.

last; I have made it clear in the past and I will again; I am not the best tournament admin in the world nor do I care to try to be one, but I do know what is fun and what will attract the weekend p_layer_ to compete in a tournament.

I will throw it out again to everyone if you think you can setup and run better tournaments then me then throw down and lets see what you can do!

PS: you don't need PAM to block you supposed "GAY" Weapons and C4. But for your reference we will allow all those supposed weapons and C4 just because I know you don't like C4.

Here is the deal with this lan everyone, If the Wichita and surrounding area showed me a demand for competitive play due to the LARGE numbers of professional p_layer_s then we at WLP would move to fill that need, however guys we are also very realistic at Wichita Lan PARTY... is largely filled with casual gamers, may I remind you a demographic you also fall into atwspoon.

With that in mind we always seek to make games more fun, this means making the game as even as possible so that individual p_layer_ skill can help bring out the fun in each game.

Also in COD4 I have to mention it is not fun when the competition is hindered by those who have hacked the game/played through the game/starting at level 0 etc The idea here is to open up the playing field to the whole game in its original form, not a highly modified version ready for CAL etc play.

Drupi/Myself are speaking out harsly because the staff of WLP is trying very hard to put down this idea that the lan must be a hyper-competitive environment.

Having said that, We also have NO ISSUES with extra piggy back events at the lan, Angel for some time has been running such tournies, on his own, with his rules how he wants it.

We have NO issues with that, we will even help you publicize said event given you provide us complete information and specs for the event ahead of time.

I gladly invite anyone to email or post their Lan Tournie ideas to an Admin so that we can help you facilitate them.

just as an FYI Angel is now a tournaments admin for Console/PC Play

for right now I have asked him to focus on consoles primarily for now, but he will start working his was into the PC realm as he learns how to operate our servers.
